Meet the dedicated staff at In-Sight

Teta Hilsdon, executive director

Teta spent 11 years as operations manager for the Brattleboro Museum & Art Center before joining In-Sight in 2013. She was a founding member of both Brattleboro Clayworks and Cherry Street Artisans, and has been teaching, making, and selling stoneware pottery since 1983. Teta is a board member of Windham & Windsor Housing Trust and a registered Yoga teacher. She is a graduate of Marlboro College with a degree in philosophy.

Frequently found:  In front of her laptop at Superfresh.
Favorite camera to use:  Cell phone.
Worst photo experience:  Being in front of the camera.


Zachary P. stephens, program director

Zach has been a professional photographer since 2004 working as staff and freelance for several newspapers and magazines. He has spent 6 years as the Photo Editor at the Brattleboro Reformer and is currently a photojournalism instructor at Landmark College. His work has appeared in The New York Times, Vermont Life Magazine, The Boston Globe, The Boston Herald, USA Today and more. Zach is a graduate of the Hallmark Institute of Photograph and is an alumnus of the In-Sight Photography Project.


Frequently found:  Playing with his daughters Elsa and Aria.
Favorite camera to use:  35mm Rangefinder
Worst photo experience:  Shooting a roll of 35mm in high school that was not actually in the camera. Oops.


Katie Kohnfelder, site manager

Katie is a freelance photographer, book maker and general tinkerer. After working for 5 years as supervisor for the Press and Albums department of Nations Photo Lab, she moved to Vermont and began volunteering with Insight. She has a BFA in Photography from The Art Institute of Boston at Lesley University.

Frequently found:  Among the trees
Favorite camera to use:  Mamiya 645
Worst photo experience:  A camera I was using, fell off of the tripod, while I was on a job.

Jon Notwick, Americorps vista

Jon is a Vermont Youth Tomorrow AmeriCorps VISTA member who has been volunteering at In-Sight for a number of years. He graduated from Marlboro College with a B.A. in Photography and Writing in 2012.

Worst photo experience: Accidentally putting several rolls of film through an airport x-ray machine
