Weekly Classes
INTRO TO ANALOG (ages 11-18)
First-timers, welcome! Learn to use an analog camera, process film, and make beautiful black and white prints in In-Sight’s darkroom.

SK8 photography (ages 13-18)
This class is all about capturing action with digital cameras. It’s suitable for skateboarders, roller skaters, BMX bikers, AND non-skating enthusiasts! We will talk history of skate photography, skate visual culture, and practice photo and video techniques like capturing motion, wide angles, and making a video part. Students should have some photography experience.

Week-long Camps
DARKROOM MAGIC (ages 13-18)
Go back in time with Darkroom Magic! Students will use modern scanning/printing technology to create digital negatives and experiment with 19th century alternative photographic processes such as Van Dyke brown and cyanotype printing. No prior experience required; bring your favorite negatives and digital files to print if you have them!
June 21 - 25 | 12:00pm - 4:00pm

ANALOG ADVENTURES (ages 13-18)
An In-Sight summer favorite! Students in this intensive will learn to operate large format cameras, use light meters, develop 4x5 negatives, and create beautiful black and white prints! All experience levels welcome.
July 19 - 23 | 1:00pm - 5:00pm
Teachers: Victoria Heisler and Peter Terwilliger
FUN WITH PHOTO (ages 11-13)
Students will play with under water cameras, create pinhole cameras from recycled materials, learn to take self-portraits, and make cyanotypes (sun prints!). No prior photography experience required.
July 12 - 16 | 10:00am - 2:00pm

SHUTTERBUGS: NATURE EXPlORERS (ages 11-18)
Let’s go exploring! Students in this camp will photograph nature, create sun and spore prints, and explore the great outdoors in this collaboration between Bonnyvale Environmental Education Center (BEEC) and In-Sight! We will use the camera as a lens to investigate the natural world around us. Explorations will take place at unique natural areas around Brattleboro, including woodland, aquatic, and mountain adventures. No prior camera experience needed.
**Drop off and pick up location will vary by the day.
August 2 - 6 | 9:00am - 1:00pm

NIGHTtIME PHOTOGRAPHY (AGES 13-18)
Led by local photographer and educator Dave Mazor, students will learn techniques to photograph the stars, paint with light, create long exposures, and find beauty in the dark! Students will be provided digital cameras and tripods. All skill levels welcome!
August 9 - 13 | 7:30pm - 10:30pm

Classes are offered regardless of ability to pay, and no youth is ever turned away because of their family’s economic circumstances. Families are asked to pledge and pay what they can based on our four pricing tiers.
